Reflecting God's Glory

The Water Reflecting the Beautiful Sunrise
My friend and I decided to get up early and watch the sunrise over our local reservoir. We were blessed with a gorgeous display of our Creator's Beauty! Thank you Lord for that blessing.
In my devotional book, "Dear Jesus," Sarah Young writes these words (from God's perspective) "You look regal, for I have clothed you in my royal righteousness. You also look radiant, especially when you are gazing at me. You are lovely as you reflect My Glory back to me." (p.84-85)
I read this after I had just finished watching the spectacular sunrise God gave us this morning at the reservoir. I got a picture of the sun reflecting against the water. How beautiful! And yet, we (as followers of Christ) are like the water...reflecting God's Glory! It's not about us, but about God and what He's doing in our lives.
2 Corinthians 3:17-18
"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit."
Psalm 34:4-5
"I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame."
