Always Runner-Up

I feel like I always come in 2nd. I feel like I'm always the runner-up, the follower. Not only in school, work, actions, and in my family, but in my looks. I know I'm not ugly, but I can't help but notice every girl out there who is a million times more beautiful (at least, that's what I think). I'm not overweight, but I do need to lose some pounds. I can't help but always pick out the girls who are my "dream size" and be jealous of them. I let this '2nd place' mindset dictate my life and I actually force myself to take 2nd place and be content with it, but I never truly will be content until I let go of my insecurities and take the position God had for me, first place.


Satan has secretly used this against me for YEARS and just when I felt like I had finally reached first place (which was when I straightened out my life with God), Satan pushed me out of it. He didn't throw me to the bottom, but he knocked me out of first. And now everyday I struggle with trying to get back to the top.

Hi Katie , I will be praying for you because always feeling like you're not good enough can be a issue in many forms. But I think it all depends on how you view yourself. You seem to know this and understand it you said yourself, these are YOUR insecurities and people see us, as we see ourself. See yourself as a winner even in 2nd or not the smallest. Trust me people will then see your character more than anything when you see things in a positive.
Satan has no authority in your life as a child of GOD, pray about this stronghold satan has on you. You will beat him, he can not win unless you let him.. I am praying this prayer for you. " Lord thank you for all You have done for Katie she understands the blessing You are setting her up for. But Lord help her to stay encouraged and on the right track. Surround her with a support system that will provide her with inspiration and most of all Lord allow her mind to not be so focused on being number 2 but on doing her best and doing Your Will. I ask this in Your name, Thank You Lord and AMEN!
This prayer has been prayed over you and you will let that hold go. Just when you feel like your changing thoughts to be NOT the best, pray to God and remember YOU'RE doing your best!
