Why Pray?

There is power in prayer. I believe that with all my heart. God's Word says over and over again that God listens to His people when they call on His name. That's why it's important for us to pray. Because God cares and He is listening.
Don't Know What to Pray?
Sometimes I just don't have the words to pray. I'm too overwhelmed and numb with emotions or too tired or too much in the thick of the spiritual battle. Sometimes you just need someone to pray for you. And we will do that.
But, it's also important for you to "pour out your heart" to God
(Psalm 62:8). Don't rely fully on the prayers of others, but come before God yourself and talk to Him. That's why we put together the book, 21 Prayers for Teen Girls. It has 21 prayers you can pray or use for inspiration for prayers of your own.

Praying God's Word
Another way you can pray, is by praying God's Word back to Him.
There are many books on praying God's Word, one of them was written by Beth Moore. Shelley wrote an article about how it changed her prayer life, with examples of prayers she prayed.
