My friends and I are in 8th grade and have been working on our History Day project. In case you dont know what History Day is, it's an analysis project with an annual theme. This year's theme is "Innovation in History:Impact and Change". Our topic is the negative influence Barbies have on girls' perception of beauty. I thought it would be fun to share this with you because this topic is what your website is dedicated to but I must also remind you that Barbie still does have its good influences. Ruth Handler, the creator of Barbie, made the Barbie, not to put down young girls, but to show them that they are capable of anything they set their minds to. Thank you for your attention.
