Breaking the Chain
Death came knocking,
…pride was his friend.
For the man thought,
…his pain would never end.
With closed eyes,
…flowing tears were shed.
On bent knees,
…the “Jesus words” were said.
A light shone down,
…so full of grace.
For sincerity and humility,
…had filled this place.
His heart was touched,
…and warmth was instant.
The physical and spiritual worlds,
…were not so distant.
From stone to flesh,
…his heart did change.
A “Spirit of Love”,
…was now within range.
The chain of death,
…had now been broken.
“Heavenbound”,
…for God had spoken.
