Concurring the modest challenge. Up with fashion! -By a true teen

Ok, I'm 14 and really don't feel comfortable in surfer stuff. I have my own boundaries, and my style, and I wanted to keep both. I pick a (close to modest, see below) modest tankini top, and then search for a pair of shorts.

Shorts are hard to find, if you're looking for one to look good with the top. I take a pair of swim shorts, (A few sizes big, if too short, then sew the waist to make them the right size) cut and sew the inside to make the only piece covering my bottom, bigger! Most tops show too much. In that case, buy the matching bottom. Cut in half and sew the bottom, to the neckline. When finished, this should look kinda like a layered shirt underneath the tankini.

Another option, for bottoms, is to roll up a pair of spandex exercise shorts.

Last option I can think of is to wear a one piece with cute shorts, and not take them off. (If you're like me, you do not even get in the pool!)

I just found my swimsuit and I LOVE it! I still have to sew but it does not require much! I bought the top at Belk for 9.95, and the swim shorts for like 6.00 at JC Penny's. I know what I wear, is not what all people consider modest. I also know what I wear is not what the world wears. DO NOT EVER JUDGE SOMEONE. If you disagree, mention it to them, don't enforce. By doing this they will know where you stand.
