My 4 year old finally inherited my trunk load of Barbie accessories and clothes this past weekend. Out of my frustration in NOT finding sensible clothes in stores for her own Barbie, I confiscated my treasures from childhood. Well to my surprise, my cherished Barbie clothes did not fit like a glove as I remember from 25 years ago. So this led me to immediately do some research. Low and behold, I did confirm my suspicions. The Barbie body changed in 2000. I am really glad to hear this news, BUT NOW I would really like to see Mattel come out with more sensible clothes for the new and improved Barbie body. I hate seeing all these super trampy clothes, wait did I say TRAMPY, yes I did!!!. I refuse to buy this CRAP. So how do I begin to plea to them to change the style of clothes they are putting out????? I finally found my solution, get my old stuff, but now here's the dilemma, the old clothes do not fit the current Barbie shape. I did not want my 4 year old to play with Barbie until she was older, but I held it off as long as I could and now I am more concerned than ever. I do regret letting her go down the Barbie world without realizing the horrible choices we'd have to clothe her. I am pleading to all the other possible concerned Mothers out there, where do you find sensible Barbie clothes? Help!!!
