empty

You must know nothing before you know something.

You must be empty before you can be full?
Is it not the emptiness of the bowl that makes it useful?

Thoughts on Empty
by: Julie

Devan,

Thanks for sharing your poem. I know our words mean something special to us but the neat thing is other people can gain other insights from them as well, speaking to them in their own lives. Although I wouldn't want to think of any of my time in faith as "empty," I can say that I know what it is like to feel depleted and at a low point. It is in this brokenness that we often allow Jesus to fill us up again, as it has been so for me. Prayers on your journey!
