Where I come from, the south, mostly everyone believes in Jesus, but when my mom got a job in California, I found it hard to beleive that anyone I talked to weren't very Christian at all. My mom hated her job as well, I still found a church and went too, but it didnt deliver the message as good as my other church did. So one day, I was eating lunch and I seen a group, well it looked like alot of dorks in skirts, but there was one thing that caught my eye, the Bible. So I walked over there and asked what they were doing, they looked at me like I was pure crazy, they said this group was only for Catholics. I was baptist. So I went back to my lunch table and started thinking. I had no idea what I could do. So during class I knew I should do something, I just had no clue. I asked if I could go to the bathroom, I went in there and prayed, I prayed God could help me find Baptist Christian friends. I kept praying that prayer for about a week. Finally, I was walking and one girl came up to me and asked what my names was, I told her it was Charlie. She smiled and said she knew I sounded a bit hill billy. I smiled and laughed it off. It didnt offend me too bad. She asked if I wanted to come sit at there lunch table and so I did. They started talking, then they all got quiet and looked at me, one of them said, "I sure hope the talk of Lord Jesus Christ doesn't bother you" I smiled, I said "Not one bit!" as they talked, I understood, they told me about their church. 3 months later, I go to a great church, and have great friends. I'm so glad I said that prayer. I found freedom.
