these girls in my class can start up a good rumor.they always lie and call me two-face and stuff behind my back.they stole my bff and she even told me she only likes them for their popularity.


so they always say nasty stuff and hurtful things to each of them and always turn people against me.they even found out who my crush is and told him that i called him a skanky hoe.so he yelled at me and ignored me ever since.tell me...

how can i get gossip to stop hurting me?

and dont say to ignore it because it wont work.bye

I know that ignoring gossip is hard. It can destroy your life, how can you ignore that? What you can do is first of all, don't tell anyone who your crush is. Especially if you know they are involved in gossip. Secondly, if they start a rumor about you, don't ignore it, but when confronted about it say something like, and you believed that? Or right, and pigs fly. Make it so that they feel silly for believing it in the first place. Whatever you do, don't be offended by it. That just gives them a since of accomplishment, and it's more believable if you get defensive about it.

So two things, don't give them any truths to gossip about, and don't acknowledge what they say. It's not ignoring, but discrediting them instead of you, with out stooping to their level.

And most importantly, live your life so that when they attempt to spread rumors nobody will believe them anyway. A little secret, nobody likes popular people, they might have a lot of popular friends, but they all talk about each other behind their backs. There are no true friends there. Be someone that everyone likes. Be nice to everyone whether or not they are nice to you.
