Guardian Angels

My dad got ready at the bottom of the hill.

I waited for him to set up and for me to pray.
I prayed the Lord would protect me and that if possible, I would be able to land the jump.
My dad signaled to go when ready.
I started making my way down the slope, gaining speed as I went down.
Closer, closer, and then saying good bye to the ground..
I flew up into the air..higher, higher, rising about 12 feet!
I knew something was wrong. My skies were too far in front of me and I knew I wouldn't land it.
I wondered what my dad was thinking and braced for impact.
..was i scared? kindda.
Lord..
Then I made contact with the ground.
Bam..skidd...stop.
My dad called, "Darby, are you okay?!"
I waved my hand to show him I was..
I was alright.. my skies came off and I jarred my back, but I was alright.
..was I upset i didn't land the jump? kindda.
..was I mad that God didn't let me land it? not at all. I was glad he kept me safe.
I thanked him..
Later my brother was messing around, but I took it seriously,
He said, 'Maybe if you would have landed the jump you would have broken your back on the impact, your guardian angels knew that, and they purposefully pushed you so you wouldn't..'
Then it hit me.
Maybe God didn't let me land it on purpose..so I wouldn't get seriously injured.
My guardian angels were watching over me after all.
