High heels

I really want to start wearing heels. I'm 12 and my older sister i wearing heels and its making me kinda jealous that my mom wont let me wear them. Are there better shoes than heels?

Why do you want to wear heels? That would really effect any answers that I could give to this question. Why are they so appealing to you? Is it just because your sister wears them or is there another reason? You asked if there were shoes that were better than heels, and it's all relative to why you are wearing them. Heels aren't good for walking, they can hurt your feet. So there are lots of better shoes for that, I personally like flip flops because I don't like my feet being closed in (however you can get flip flops with heels for more dressy occasions...) If you are going hiking it's important to have support on your ankles so hiking boots are better... do you see where I am going with this? Where are you going that you want to wear heals? Is there any place special?

Also watch your sister, is there anything that she can't do because she is in heels? Can she run? Can she walk everywhere or does she have to stay on the main paths? Heels sink in the mud and make it hard to walk on gravel... just other things to think about...
