How God saved me!

I was baptized at the age of 5 years old by my own request. After I was baptized the years went by but I wasn't seeking after God the way I should have. I didn't read my Bible, pray, or fast. I didn't do anything to get connected to God.

One day, when I was 13 years old, I was in church and it prayer time. Usually, I either wouldn't pray (but I would kneel down) or I would pray a quick meaningless prayer. That day was different. The First Lady of our church provided us each with pillows to kneel on and she told us to pray.

At first I planned on doing the usual - kneeling down without praying. But it was as if a voice spoke to me and told me to pray. I had an impulse to pray. I began to pray and about 5 minutes later tears began to flow from my eyes and I began to call upon the name of the LORD. I prayed a true prayer from my heart that day for the first time.

Later on as the days and weeks went by I felt more and more of an urge to do the will of God. I had an urge to pray and to read my Bible. I began to focus more and more on the things of God. I I sought God for months diligently for salvation. I grew more and more in God. My faith began to increase and God began to mold me into the person He wants me to be.

He's still molding me. I actually didn't plan to write my testimony here but I had an urge to. So, I hope that these words will be encouraging to someone else and I hope they will glorify God.
