I came across the board short/ rashgaurd option

I am an athletic mother of four and have come to a similar conviction as you over the past couple years. I don't mind swimming privately with family or only women in a traditional one piece or tankini, but in public I wear swim shorts and a rashgaurd. I have gotten mine from Land's End. I wait for a sale and free shipping. I don't get too uptight about my daughters ages 1 and 6, but I like the sun protection of rash guards for all my children - especially the boys. I prefer my 10-year-old son always wear a rashgaurd for modesty, as well. As for the three-year-old I'm just glad if he's not streaking.
