I want to help...

I'm a Christian, and so is my friend. Shes been having a really hard time recently, facing thoughts of suicide and different things. She asked me for help, I don't know what to do, I love her a lot and want to help. Do you have any words of advice?

i had a sister in the Lord who struggled terribly with thoughts of suicide. come to find out, she was struggling with forgiveness, of others and herself.
continue to pray for the Lord's leading as to what you should do. and of course, continue to cover your friend with prayer. i made myself available to her during the night/early morn much like an AA counselor.
it wasn't easy but it was sure worth it because my friend is "alive" (not merely existing).
be encouraged for you are helping by simply being there.

Thank you for sharing your concerns, you are good friend for wanting to help and to be there for her. Make yourself available to her needs as long as you are able too and as long as they don't go against your faith in God. Continue to pray for her safety and for healing, for her to have peace and for strength but if it becomes too much for you then you might want consider praying to God on if there is an adult you should tell or if it would be a good idea to speak to a counsler or involve a professional.

Thank you so much for all your prayers and comments, it's such a blessing to have a place like this were I can get godly addvice.
My friend feels like if she were to tell anyone about what she's going through they would be dissapointed in her. She feels like her mother is dissaponted in everything she does. She told me that she doesn't feel like God is ever there, and she always feels alone. I know that all I can do right now is be here for her, and keep praying.
