hi im lili im 13 and all my friends and family have told me im a total babe but guys think im totally ugly. why?

its not about what they think

Allthough i feel its not something that you should be over concerned with at 13,I will tell you that boys your age would never admit to anyone that they think your hot,that would be social suicide to them!!
I guarantee you that there will be many boys at your school who have a crush on you! Its only as they get older[and your both of age] will they be able to comunicate their feelings to you.
Are you happy with our appearance? if so thats all that really matters isnt it.

From this entry, and the one you posted after, it sounds like you may be listening too much to what other people say about you. What do you think about yourself? Do you see the beauty that God created in your features? He hand crafted every aspect of who you are, so of course you're beautiful! You don't need no stinkin' boys to tell you that! Remember..."Man looks on the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart." Don't get too wrapped up in the external...focus on the internal;0)
Because they love you

Dear Lili,

There is an explanation to why your family says that you are hot and that you are a babe, but guys do not think so.

It is because your parents and family love you, and they really truly love you, more than you know or understand even. And when you truly love someone else, they will always look beautiful to you, because you always look for the best in them, and you love them for who they are, no matter what they do, even if you do not agree with what they say or do, you will still love them for who they are.

But don't be mistaken, some people are blinded by what they think is love, but is only infatuation. But time will always tell the truth, and if this is not true love, over time the blinds will fall off and the truth will show.

And these boys who you are talking about, perhaps they are too shy to say that you are beautiful, perhaps not. Beauty is not just on the external, and if they do not know you for who you really are, it shouldn't matter to you what they say, because they will just be commenting on what they see outside, and that is not an accurate judgment.

It takes someone who really knows you inside out, knows all your bad points and good points, all your bad habits and mistakes, and still love you and want to be with you - when this person tells you that you are beautiful, you should really believe it, because that is how he/she really sees you, because he/she really loves you for who you are.

And there is no one else who knows you better than our Heavenly Father does. Because He created you, you are fearfully and wonderfully made, that is what the Bible says. He knows all your thoughts, every thing that goes through your mind and your heart, He knows. He knows your most intimate details, He knows your struggles. And yet, He calls you His child. He loves you because He loves you because He loves you. HE is Love itself.

Build yourself on the inside by coming to God and getting to know Him as a friend and your Father, and know your identity in Christ our Saviour. When you are secure in Christ, you will be fulfilled and satisfied in Him alone. Is this what you are looking for? If so, God is calling you to open up your heart to Him. Just say a simple prayer to Him. Read His word. Attend church. God will change your life around.

I know this by experience and I have never regretted. God is wonderful you have to experience Him yourself to know the truth.
