The doll is what you make it? If you feel you must look like the doll then that is the way it influences you. If the doll stands for feminine power that is your view. There are negatives and positives to everything the media puts before us. In the real world women will have to deal with the fact that there is always going to be someone thinner than them, curvier than them, taller than them, prettier or even smarter. The main thing is not to let media images or people influence your view of yourself. See yourself as beautiful because you are a daughter of Christ. It starts at home with teaching our daughters to love themselves. It also starts with us. If little girls see thier mothers dieting constantly and fretting over thier image than it rubs off. The media can influence children but too often parents neglect to realize that thier actions are a very powerful influence in thier children.
