Me vs. Models and What the World is Saying

Here's what the world is saying on being beautiful:

- You have to have a flawless complexion
- You have to be tall and super skinny
- You have to have blue or green eyes
- You have to have gorgeous blond hair
- You have to be tan
- You have to show off your body in every possible way
- In order to be beautiful, you have to be surrounded by gorgeous guys

When I look at magazines or TV or whatever, I see what I'm not. I have dark wavy hair and milk chocolate eyes with a tint if gold in them. I am tall and average weight and am so sick of the media airbrushing models and making me see what I'm not. I've been told I'm pretty, but I have trouble believing it. I'm not blond and blue-eyed and confident and flirty. When the media showcases these qualities, I notic everything I'm not. I never feel pretty and a big part of that is because of media.

You define beauty Miranda - don't let the limited perception of others set yours!

God says that you are His masterpiece! Skillfully wrought by the hand of God - and you're upset by the media!

No precious, you be the best you can be - love yourself - appreciate who you are - and when the magazine you are reading asks, "what one should look for to find beauty?" Lift up the magazine, turn to the "answer" page and lift it befor the mirror and tell it "HERE she is!" (Smile)
