Mirror, Mirror

by Amy
(Georgia)

Mirror, Mirror, on the wall,

You say I'm the ugliest of them all.
You point out my hips (too wide!)
And my humungous thighs.
I cry and I plead,
I beg, I need
One compliment, one nod of approval,
But, again, I've spoke too soon.
For you've introduced me too your friends,
TV and Magazine,
They promise they'll take care of me.
Pointing out perfect skin, perfect hair,
All around me, perfection everywhere.
But all I want is some acceptance,
And now I feel so much less than.
So as I take my hammer to you with a "pow!"
I must ask- mirror, who's the best now?

Don't Always Trust the Mirror

The mirror and opinions of others do not determine nor do they reveal the "real you" on the inside!
