I was telling my friend that I used to make my own modest swimsuits. I felt that it was my duty to honor my beliefs in dressing modestly. Not everyone can understand, but I think most people can understand that I also wanted to cover up to reduce sun exposure. Skin cancer is a serious problem. I walk on the beach and see women applying tanning oils, further increasing their sun exposure and men that don't wear anything and who are visibly burned. Perhaps it's because I'm a mom. Moms know that too much sun is bad for kids, but then they forget that it's also bad for them. I wear my modest swimsuit for all those reasons, and it looks cute. When I first searched for a modest swimsuit I drove around and around, made endless calls and couldn't find anything that was cute and fit me right. I even went to a seamstress, but she wanted a lot of money and it would take her a month (yes a month). In the end I found Hydrochic online and bought two outfits the same day, finally at last a swimsuit. I had put off two beach outings until I had the suit, but it was worth it. I can't say enough good things about Hydrochic. It's just two moms running a swimsuit company supporting modesty. I definitely recommend them.
