Modest swimwear in this day and age

Hi, I'm a new reader, and I've been looking for modest swimwear.


Well, my mom and I aren't even looking at bikinis, bandeaus, and other stomach-baring stuff, but we're not opposed to a tankini, as long as it's long enough to cover my belly (I have a long torso, so 1 pieces end up being too short). It also must not expose my bosom, so I have to pretty much try the tops on. This way I can be sure nothing is showing. As long as the top is high enough to cover me, tight enough not to gap if I bend over (I'm short, so people glancing down my shirt is a concern), and long enough to not show skin, it passes. Of course, there's always the issue of finding a color I like :-)

I am there with you! I have been unable to find a suitable bathing suit... It has been recommended to me to buy a one piece even if the sides are too high cut and also buy board shorts to wear with it? I haven't decided yet, but I thought I would pass along the suggestion...

I have your problem too, except my situation is kinda complicated. I normally wear tankini's that come down past my belly button and short board shorts, but its really difficult for me to find a tankini top that fits, because i have a large chest, and I have to wear a bikini underneath my tankini.
Wal Mart had a really good selection of tankinis, where i bought both my board shorts & tankini(:

Hey all,
I did find a nice modest swim suit. While it was a little lower than I'm used to (I usually wear crew-neck t-shirts), it covered everything, and doesn't gap. It was a bandini, which means the top is cut straight across, with fabric covering the torso. It also has little attachable straps that go around the neck for extra security. I also got boy-shorts style bottoms to go with it (it's a 2-piece). I find that 2 pieces have an advantage over 1-pieces when one needs to use the ladies room.
If you're looking for one similar to this, I got mine at Kohls-however, this seems to be a popular/common style this year, so look at a store close to you.
My encouragement to all you ladies out there who are trying to be modest in a sexed-out world. Btw, I'm 17 going on 18. So please know that there ARE peers out here who are also trying to be modest. God bless you!
