My Beauty Expert is the Best!

I think Barbie, Style channel and beauty magazines all affect us. It puts an "ideal" in front of us that is impossible for most of us to match.
A number of years ago it was the rage to look like Twiggy...skinny and flat breasted. And now, look at how opposite the trend is. Many people now get breast enlargement in order to have more!
That just goes to show you that what's in style is always changing. And none of us can change our body to match those extremes...we weren't built that way by nature. Even Barbie had to be changed in 2000 (less busty and wider hips) to keep up with the times.
I believe it is better to just make the most of the body type you've been given. Eat right, exercise and then love the way you are! That will communicate more "real beauty" to others than all the things we can do to change ourselves.
I think when we try to meet up to someone else's standard, we are believing Satan's lie that how God created us is not good. But His standard never changes...so I guess I'll just make God my new "beauty expert".
