My Priest Isn't Helping My Faith
The priest at my church tends to give homilies that are offensive and don't help me grow my faith in any way. He's super focused on violence, damnation, death and the devil and he'll often use his time preaching to rant about how same-sex marriage is evil and members of the LGBTQ+ community are going to hell. My family tried bringing up our concerns to him after a particularly disturbing homily but he basically told us that he preaches whatever the Lord tells him to and he won't change it, even if it's offensive. How can I deal with this?

I'm sorry to hear that your priest isn't focused on helping you grow your faith. However, this is probably something that your parents will have to decide how to handle.
In the mean time, maybe you can concentrate on studying the Bible on your own, with some friends, or with your parents or another adult. The Bible does tell us that meeting with other believers is important, but ultimately we are responsible for the growth of our own faith. Maybe God wants to use this time to help you deepen your relationship with Him one-on-one?
