need advice - my best friend

my best friend (or old best friend) needs help. we both found God together and we used to always pray and go to church. i have always loved him and we did eveything together, but then he started hanging out with these guys and they got him into all this bad stuff. i got mad at him because what he was doin was hurting me because i knew him when he was a christian but now he is into the world. we dont talk anymore but i know he parties crazy now and drinks and does drugs and im worried. i feel like i cant do anything tho cause its been 2years since we talked and so how can i help him? i know hes hurt too cause his dad walked out on him and hes probably been through more than that but like i said...its been 2 years. i miss him and i wanna talk to him again but not the way he is now...what do i do?

prayer is ALWAYS the answer :)

The only person who know exactly whats going through his head is God. So, the best thing you can do is to pray for him! God loves you soo, soo, much! and he loves him too! Just remind him how important he is to God.
And NEVER stop praying for him. God still does miricals today, hun!

Well said Karla! Michelle, praise God for your loving concern for your friend.

I heartily agree with Karla, the best thing you can do for him is pray. Undergird your friend's very life with prayer. Ask the Father to protect him, guide him through this rough season. Psalm 91 is a great confession. Psalm 139 is another for in It, we are told, even if we make our bed in hell, our ABBA Father God is still there. He is faithful Michelle, (another Promise comes to mind as I write), God is faithful to turn every thing around for our good and for His glory. That this situation is not unto death but for the glory of God. We also decree the Promise that God will send laborers acrosss your friend's path who will be able to reach him.

You might want to tell your friend that you're concerned about him, and is still his friend but because of your commitment to Christ, you simply cannot walk with him but you are praying for him and your door is always open when he needs a friend to talk to.

Ask the Lord Michelle, for guidance on how to reach your friend. And be sensitive to those tugs in your spirit when He prompts you to go into immediate intercession for your friend.

Be encouraged Michelle, this is not for nought, God knew ahead of time that your friend would be going through this; that's why He chose you to be his friend!
