Realization

I've been battling depression since I was in the seventh grade. At first, it was just me separating myself from the world and those in it but it soon transformed into crying day in and day out, self-injury of many types, and a plethora of suicide attempts. After four hospitalizations, I finally realized that the world and those who follow it, are always going to be in the world, but those who choose to stand above the world and exalt His name are the real over comers.

Thank you for sharing ~ The very 1st thing that popped into my head while reading this was Romans 8:35-37 "Who shall ever seperate me from Christ's love? Shall suffering and affliction and tribulation? Or calamity & distress? Or persecution, or hunger, or destitution or peril or sword? Even as it is written for your sake I am put to death all day long: I am regarded & counted as sheep lead to the slaughter yet amid all these things I am more than a conquerer! And I gain a surpassing victory through Him who loves me."
AND "What shall I say to all of this? If God is for me than who can be against me?" Romans 8:31

May we forever keep our eyes focused on the cross and may the enemy tremble at our feet!

Thank you for sharing your story. I dealt wit the same thing when I was also in the seventh grade. I was teased and picked on, wanted to die and developed an eat disorder and depression. I could and never did tell anyone who really understood or believed me to do anything about do I kept it to myself. I struggled for a long while until I realized the lord and how he could help me and doesn't want me to feel this way anymore. Im 19 years old now and everyday gets better but it's still hard to deal wit sometimes. And I thank you for sharing your story. Your making a difference inmy life and others already.
