I've never really thought about modesty and swimsuits before. I guess I view swimsuits as an entirely different area, because 99.99% of the time when you're in one, lots of other people are too, taking pressure off you as an individual. If everyone's dressed similarly, why would someone focus on me? Especially since I always wear a tankini or anything other than a bikini. You really think swimsuits should be treated exactly the same as normal clothes?

To answer your question, yes. Swim wear should be viewed exactly like normal clothes. When your in normal clothes so is everyone else. It doesn't matter if they are all in belly shirts, or low rise tops that show half their chest, we shouldn't wear that stuff. If all of your friends wore mini skirts that barely covered their bottoms, that doesn't make it okay for you. Swim wear is the same. Just because everyone is dressed that way doesn't mean that no one would be looking at you. If there were a group of guys running around playing basket ball with no shirts on, if you had a crush on one of them, or had never seen one of them before, or thought one was cute, wouldn't you be looking at him? It's the same thing with swim wear. Someone will be looking.

You are responsible for your own body, if you cause a men to lust after your body you will give an account before God for that, not the men because God has created men that way.

You can NOT cause a man to lust after you (regardless of how you're dressed) any more than a beer commercial can make someone drunk. Since lust is a sin, if a scantily clad woman could cause a man to lust, why is there no record of Satan using this method to cause Jesus to sin (via lust)?
