Self Love

Hi I'm Kourtney & I'm 16.


I battle with feeling worthless, stupid, and weird. I battle with depression and feeling like there's no point of living. I look to a current guy for love and to make me feel special. My family members often ask what is wrong? Why are you so unhappy? Why do you look so sad?

I feel like that don't understand. They say "you have this! or "you have that!" but life is not just about material things and what's it looking like on the outside. I get so frustrated because my family doesn't understand that. I am not ungrateful I am hurting in the inside. This is where I call on Jesus for answers. Hearing about how He heals and shines light into peoples worlds made me wonder if He would do the same for me.

I recently prayed this prayer, so I'll be back to tell the full testimony and how going to God to fix my pain inside helped and the amazing things He's done.

I admire your faith, Kourtney. Battling with depression is so hard. And you are right, it isn't about material things, but an internal battle that you can't always fight with common sense.

I know you submitted this post a couple years ago, but I wanted to let you know that I am praying for you. I hope God has continued to work in your life, and draw you closer to Him.

Kourtney remember how you are God's beautiful daughter, who He loves so much! You are worthy in God's eyes! God made you exactly the way He wanted you! You have an amazing purpose on this Earth! Your testimony will touch lives for Him! Please do not feel worthless because your not, you are worthy!! You are beautiful!! Your life has meaning! Please continue to seek God with your everything, no guy can show you as much love as Christ can! Seek after God when you want to know how loved you are! He will show you! Jesus loves you so much!! I am praying for you!

Hello Kourtney,

The greatest enemy of ours is ourself. And only God can fix that. We are right here, for you in Spirit to back you up with this.

Find God with all your heart and He will reveal to you the satisfaction you wanted to "His love". Read his word and worship him in Spirit and in truth. We are right here in prayer.

I know exactly how you feel. It hurts! For me, whenever I think that Jesus is personal, not distant, and that He sees me in different eyes, not mine, it changes my perspective:)
