okay so i’m 12 years old and puberty and stuff is making me horny/turned on at night sometimes . thing is i don’t know ... how .. to .. masturbate ?? is that a bad thing ? and i wanna learn about genitalia eras just school and parents and stuff i rarely get alone time . how could i learn how to masturbate and things like that ?

I would highly recommend picking up a copy of Every Young Woman's Battle, because you aren't the only one who's been where you are.

To be honest, I won't answer your question on how to masturbate, because it will make you feel dirty. It might sound exciting and fun, but once you do it, you won't feel like you've been on a grand adventure, you will feel ashamed. That's why no one talks about it. It's not glamorous.

God created sex to be a beautiful thing between one man and one woman. To be a bonding agent between a man and his wife. And when that's what it is it is glorious, but outside of that, it's not.

Yes, when we hit puberty our hormones are raging and our bodies are ready, but sex is more than physical. It's emotional and spiritual. And when we engage too early, even with masturbation, it can have life long consequences. Memories we make can last forever and mar something God created to be beautiful.

So trust me on this one, and pick up a copy of that book. And instead of feeling trapped by your parents, let them know you're growing up. Open up the lines of communication so if you ever need someone to talk to they aren't so startled they shut down.
