Should a girl ask as boy to the prom?

MY DAUGHTER GOES TO A CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL. THEY SAY IT IS WRONG FOR A GIRL TO ASK A GUY TO A HIGH SCHOOL EVENT, BASED ON THE BIBLE. MY QUESTION IS WHERE IN THE BIBLE DOES THIS STATE THIS?? THANK YOU. MOM

i dont think tyhat the bible ever said anything like that

and if someone else tells you that, then ask them exactly where it says that at and look it up yourself

i dont think that God said it was wrong to ever do such a thing
people might just be sayin that because its "traditional" for a guy to ask a girl but i doubt that it has anything to do with the bible

I am debating whether to ask one of my Christian guy friends to my prom. My school is really small(only thirteen people in my graduating class) and so if I want a date, I have to ask someone. Is this a grey area from a Biblical perspective or is it clear what God says about this?
