The Embrace

Because of you, I can breathe again. Your presence is overwhelming. As I bow at your feet, I look to you and see the truth. I see love in your eyes. It is a genuine love that I have never seen before. A love that is above and beyond my understanding. You come over and wrap your arms around me in a sweet embrace. My heart stops beating as I feel your whisper gently against my face. You tell me how you have plans for me.I can't help but ask why. Why would you choose me? With a voice so soft, you say that you see what's in the heart. You see what is hidden deep inside. My child, what others overlook, I will seek out. A feeling of weakness washes over me and fear tries to grip me. Lord, I am not worthy of such a thing.
The words cut right through my very being as I am told that you will give me the strength to go forth. My child, you are not alone. I will not leave you. Just hold onto me and I will be all that you need. Take my hand and let me guide you. I look into your eyes that are filled with a sincerity that I cannot deny. In this moment, I can feel the fear leaving.
Here I am. I will go where you want me to. I will do what you ask. All I need is your love. I just need to feel your hand holding me up. You look down at me and caress my face. Daughter, I will now send you forth. You are chosen. I will protect you and keep you from harm. This is only the beginning of my love.
