Lost in a world tryin' to play pretend

Tryin' to prove myself to my best friend
Wantin' to be somebody, but there's this
girl inside of me fightin' insecurity
Everyone says this girl is beautiful,
but I'm strugglin' to see past the five
pounds gained to try to hide the pain
inside of me. Lookin' at my own reflection,
I wonder who I really am. This girl inside
of me, she's wantin' to be free. Tired of
all the games. Wantin' to find her identity.

I know what that's like, I live through it every day. Keep hanging in there and pray about it. Even if you think it's not worth it or that God's not listening, because He is and it might just be the key thing that helps.

This is a great description of how many young girls feel. You did a great job of giving the problem of unknown identity a voice. I pray that your story doesn't end here though, and that you find your identity in the Lord. He has a special name for you, and it's written on the palm of His hand. Go and see for yourself:) You're so precious in His sight.
