trust in god and watching your language

Your Bible Study Topic: being careful about what you say and trusting god

God’s Word (the bible verses for your study):
psalm 119:10-13


Think About it (discussion questions that can be used in a group or for individuals):is what i say glorifying god?
does god want me to say these things?
am i spreading the word of god by saying these things?


Meditate On it (What does this mean to me? How can I apply it to my own life? Suggest a verse to memorize.):
i have been like this not cared just wanted to live my life, swore a lot and didn't care what came out of my mouth and i felt that this was something that needed to be let out into the world. God has always been there for us we just can't see it look deeper in psalm 119:9-16

9 How can a young person stay on the path of purity?
By living according to your word.
10 I seek you with all my heart;
do not let me stray from your commands.
11 I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you.
12 Praise be to you, Lord;
teach me your decrees.
13 With my lips I recount
all the laws that come from your mouth.
14 I rejoice in following your statutes
as one rejoices in great riches.
15 I meditate on your precepts
and consider your ways.
16 I delight in your decrees;
I will not neglect your word.
it says i will seek with all my heart. have you ever lost something and searched everywhere until you find it well that's what we need to do we need to seek god and gods word. just going to church isn't enough a good christian preys(for them-self and others) reads the bible everyday and glorify's god with their actions, you must trust the lord with your life. Abraham was told to go pack up everything and leave well imagine if you came home and said to your family come on guys were leaving and they go to go where and your like not sure god told me to leave they wouldn't believe you but Abraham followed god and he took risks like taking his son up to the mountain as an offering and i know that i would quickly jump off and run but he trusted god that he would provide a lamb to be sacrificed



Conclusion (any final thoughts, stories):i had a devotion about trust it really got to me my teacher asked someone to stand up and lean back and he would catch them, that's what you should do lean back and follow god and trust him like Abraham did


Closing Prayer:
dear heavenly father,
help us to remember that nothing is going to happen that you and i can't handle together, i pray that you help us put our trust in you and that you can protect us and keep us safe
i thank you for dying on the cross for our sins
i ask this in your holy name
amen
