Walmart

I was sitting in my room today and I had just started this book, I had just finished reading this chapter when my dad came in and said "Do you want to go to Walmart with me?" and I said "Yeah sure". Well when I got to Walmart I remembered everything I had just read, and I started look at all the different types of advertisement that make you want to me skinny. Just in one trip to Walmart I saw over 25 items being sold to make you "prettier" or "skinnier". There were things like "Drop a jean size in 2 Weeks!", "Slim Fast!", there were magazines on how to lose fat, every magazine in the stand had something do to with loosing weight. All of the exercise machines had skinny women on them. They were videos, dance videos, on how to look like super models. I never really pay attention to these things but today I realized that we live in a world that with everywhere we look there is something telling us that we aren't good enough, and the more you pay attention you also realize that it is not normal to look that way all these super models look. So I wanted to say thank you to Shelley for opening my eyes, and to all the girls out there that feel like they aren't good enough that the world is lying to you. You are BEAUTIFUL just the way you are!
