Now that you see that models are photo-shopped and edited, it is a standard to see teens and other women piling make up on their faces. Now that we have the expectation to be "as pretty as a picture" we can't just erase the model makeovers we give ourselves every morning, but if you take away the editing, then people will believe the models are not beautiful and possibly put on more makeup to make themselves look better than the models. I believe that comparing yourself to a piece of paper is wring, but now that media has shown that image, it can never be edited out of the picture.
