What about love?

Hello, i'm a guy...also a "struggler" with homosexuality...for a long time now...went through all the "gay-referring" verses in Gods word...I really love my Lord and listen to His Spirit daily, to lead me the way I have to go... but...related to the gay thing, it is as if I still don't have peace with the "solutions" people offer for homosexuality...


I agree with the homosexual things you mentioned here, but what about "homo-emotionality"? Who says it always has to lead to sex, what a bout actually doing what God is...LOVE... I have never seen Gods word touching on the aspect of homo-emotionality in a negative way, only homosexuality...

What about David and Jonothan...what a bout that kind of relationships??

Anyway...this is just a few thoughts I thought I had to raise...I hope you will be able to give me some insight or show me where I might have "misinterpreted" the whole thing...

It might be hard to understand now, and i no it can be confusing but God made man for woman, and Woman for man.- 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 - "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."- i hope this helps you understand i will be praying for you

Hi there. I know that the struggles you are having can be very frustrating especially when you know the truth and love Christ. Shortly before I was a Christian I was in a relationship with another woman. About 9 months later I started dating my now husband. With my past and being a new Christian made things very difficult for me and my husband for a long time. But I learned that I needed to pray for my mind to be renewed and to be reminded of His truth when I am being attacked by spiritual warfare.

To be honest, with the homo-emotionality, I think you are trying to okay just a little bit of homosexuality. If you start to think one part is okay, then you will be tempted to think that a little more is okay as well. Bury yourself in the word and pray all the time.

Having an emotional relationship with another man the way you would with a wife is not healthy. A deep emotional relationship is very likely to lead to sex. Especially if you are not in the right frame of mind and with Satan pushing you with lies to go just a little further. Also David and Jonathan were only best friends. It's good to have a best friend, but not good if that best friend becomes something deeper than it should be.

I pray that you will desperately seek Christ everyday for your mind to be renewed. It may only take one prayer or a thousand. It took me about 5 months. Spiritual warfare is a huge deal when it comes to this. You will be fed lies all the while so that you will never truly experience that freedom that Christ offers.
