Why ? ---Please take the time to read this

Why change what God has given us? I understand make-up and the basic girly primping but why go past that? We have this ideal image of perfection in our minds that we feel an obligation to come to, yet we're loosing sight on true beauty. If God wanted us all to look like the edited pictures we MAKE, he'd do that. The thing is we were made in God's likeness so why should we as imperfect humans tamper with that? Have you ever typed in 'inner beauty' through images? I did a second ago and majorly what came up was images of flowers. Not edited. Not anything but natural inner beauty. Something so simple is so beautiful.


I realize that this one message wont change everyone and you might forget about it in 20 min, but its changed me. I had a chance to put things in words and definitely into perspective. I'm a freshman in highschool, and i'm surrounded with insecurities. I'm shocked at how strongly I feel about this and how much support and facts I could pull of the top of my head. Now I understand.

Even if you arent a spiritual person, please say a little prayer for all the girls and boys out there even right under you nose who are having trouble with a media influenced perfection.

i totally agree with this
i will admit that i do wear make up
and i understand that you are not saying that the only reason for girls weraing makeup is becaus they are all insecure
but i really do agree with you when you say
that there are many insecure people in high skool
u are getting started off on the right foot for being a freshman in high school when it comes to your self confidence and beliefs

just keep focusing on God no matter hwo hard high school may become whether you may be dealing with drama or school work
even if you feel as if God has left you and you feel over stressed, just remember that he will take you through some rough times for a reason
