World Traveler Mom Saw Great, Modest, Functional Suit!
I just returned with my family from a resort on the Red Sea; what an extreme mix of swimsuits! From Europeans in "not-much" to Saudi women in something like the Burqini Swimsuit (link here in the comments section), there was every kind imaginable.
I'm constantly looking for modest swimsuits for my girls and myself and I saw one style that I really liked. It was a one piece that looked like a moderately high neck tanktop on top and had pant legs that reached to a bit above the knee; this whole part was fitted (maybe too much?). Then, there was a very cute skirt with a handkerchief hem sewn on with a flat seam (no bunching) slightly below belly button level (one had a double layered skirt where the hem tips were alternated ("twirlier and more coverage). To make it really look classy, they had the same striped fabric as edging around the neckline and the armholes.
I asked the young women where they bought them and they said in a sport club in Cairo. I'm either going to find one or sew one of these for each of the women/girls in my household!
